Seismic risk assessment Istituto Palazzolo in Bergamo

The project involved the realisation of FEM models (concrete, masonry and mixed concrete-masonry) to check the structure against the seismic actions. What looks like one building actually it is composed by six structures built in different phases. The peculiarity of the project was the identification of each building and the simplification of the geometries.

During the first phase of the project we have filled out a form called “schede di livello 0” which identify the structural characteristic of the building.
After that we have realised the FEM model to fill out a form called “schede di livello 1” where the maximum acceleration for each structural element (foundation, beam, column and structural joint) is determined.
