Description
| The project involves the construction of a new production line of a typical “compounding” plant, in which different thermoplastic resins are produced: PC (polycarbonate), PC/ABS blend and PC/PBT blend. The raw materials or semi-finished products, coming from different company storage systems, are transported to the line, where they undergo blending, extrusion, granulation, dedusting processes until the final product is obtained. The new production line is developed on a new 2-storey metal structure scaffold, built inside an existing building. On the second floor there are the loading stations of the raw materials, which receive the different materials through pneumatic systems or loads through FIBC. The components are discharged through hoppers, stainless steel pipes and screw conveyors, then dosed in extruder using precision scales. After the mixing, extrusion and granulation phases, the process continues with the drying and dedusting of the product to separate the granule from any residual powder. In addition to the design of structural and civil works in general, CED Ingegneria has prepared the project of electrical and hydraulic-mechanical systems at the service of the new line, including the interface with the systems. |
