The extension of the nursing home structure consists in the construction of a new bridge body over the existing car park on the south / east side with the lowering of the car park to the basement level.

These works make it possible to adapt the entire structure to the size and type of essential services and to create a 2nd level Day Centre.

Both the positioning and the construction of lifts and stairs, including safety ones, are dictated by the fire prevention regulations and by the specific functional routes imposed.

The total overhaul of the technological systems involves the redefinition of the internal heights for the passages in the new false ceilings, in particular the rooms with people staying in the basement and ground floors will have an internal height of 3m, while the first and second floors of 2.70m.

The external fronts of the buildings will undergo a substantial transformation in order to recover, even in the image, a significant qualitative aspect and, at the same time, allowing the insertion of external thermal insulation with a significant improvement in living comfort and energy.

The plant project includes:

• a new heating and air conditioning system for the environments;
• new primary air treatment plant for renewal with high thermal efficiency heat recovery system;
• adaptation of the fire-fighting system;
• medical gas distribution and storage system, oxygen;
• new central heating system installed on the roof of the part of the building being expanded and used to supplement the production of domestic hot water;
• solar thermal system for integration to the production of centralized domestic hot water.

For the electrical systems, the following is envisaged:

• complete overhaul of the ordinary and emergency lighting system;
• new facility called nurses;
• smoke detection system;
• sound diffusion system.
