Dedalo Esco S.r.l.
Design and Construction Supervision
Almenno San Salvatore – Bergamo
Description
The project was born from the idea of Almenno San Salvatore Council, in the province of Bergamo, to renew the heating system of the municipal school complex, including the primary school, the middle school and the sports hall.
The new plant is powered by wood chips and is made by Dedalo Esco, a company specialized in efficiency and energy saving interventions, from which CED INGEGNERIA received the assignment for the entire preliminary, definitive and executive design, fire-fighting as well as the safety and supervision of the works during the construction phase.
The boiler has a nominal thermal power of 550 kW with storage of 6,000 liters and an annual production of 1,000 MWh and is housed in a room made with concrete cast on site. Next to the thermal power plant, an additional room has been built, responsible for the storage of wood chips. Its roof is equipped with a shaft through which vehicles can unload wood directly inside, accessing it via a driveway.
In addition to the design of structural and civil works in general, CED INGEGNERIA prepared the project of the electrical and hydraulic-mechanical systems at the service of the new plant, including the interface with the existing power plants.
