Description
The project involves the construction of a new Brembo SpA production site in Monterrey, Mexico.
The plant is divided in two departments: the aluminum foundry and mechanical processing department. Overall, the intervention is located in a plot of approximately 170,000 square meters.
The project is divided into successive development steps: in the first phase, the project involves the construction of a building (approximately 29,500 square meters of floor area) in which:
- 4,500 square meters of offices, changing rooms and canteen
- 25,000 square meters of production building and utilities
in addition to approximately 42,700 square meters of roads and yards.
The building is designed with a metal structure with main bays of 34 m span, to allow maximum flexibility in the use of interior spaces freeing the production layout from the constraints of the building structure. The external infills were designed in metal sandwich panels in the upper part and in concrete prism walls in the lower part.
The roof was also designed in sandwich panels, with the presence of grids and walkways to support the plants.
The office building is adjacent to the production one, but structurally separated, it is also designed with metal structure with prism infills and metal panels.
